The three types (function) of circuit breakers are the same regardless of the physical appearance (ATO, MIMI, MAXI, STUD MOUNT, and PANEL MOUNT).
TYPE 1 - Automatic Reset
- Will recycle continuously during an overcurrent condition
- The composite alloy material will deflect and separate the contacts when an over-current situation occurs and return to the run mode as it cools
- The process will continue until the source of the overcurrent is removed or corrected
|
TYPE 2 - Modified Reset
- Circuit breaker will remain tripped (in the off position) as long as there is power to the circuit.
- Contains internal resistor
- Reset circuit breaker by turning off the circuit or by turning off the power (ignition) source
|
TYPE 3 - Manual Reset
- Circuit breaker will remain tripped (off) until the indicator is reset (push in the button)
- Manually resetting the circuit button will restore power to the circuit (if an over current condition still exists the breaker will trip again)
